Comments: Hello, Your website brings back a lot of memories, and is a real pleasure to browse through. I joined the RCN in 1964 (Skeena Division 1 /64) and left HMCS Cornwallis to be a Meteorologist's Mate in RCNAS Shearwater. In 1968 I remustered to Naval Aircrewman (which bcame "Radio Navigator", then "Observer" and now in the CF is "AESOP". I retired in 1996 as a Lieutenant(Navy). Again, thanks for the memories. Comments: Hello all: I am sorry to report that only 10 WWII RCNA veterans participated in the annual Warriors Day parade at the Canadian National Exhibition yesterday. No one seemed anxious to take the lead so we just fell in behind the Wrens from the Toronto Wren Association. It is a shame that we had so few participating but we are not getting any younger, I guess. Jim Sunday, August 21st 2005 - 09:38:57 AM

Comments: The site on HMCS Restigouche looks great as well as the other sites. I would really enjoy it if other personnel that have photos during the war of the crew of the restigouche expand this page by scanning and sending them to the author of this site. He is doing a fantastic job and anyone with such photos or newspaper clippings can only enhance this site and pass on history to our next generation of enthusiastic son's and daughters who wish to learn more. This page should not be just about one sailor but all who served on the Restigouche. Don't be surprise if you see a flow of information not just on the Restigouche but other ships as well. So lets get out those scrapbooks and wake up the memories. Monday, August 15th 2005 - 10:32:44 PM

I first joined as a radioman and later transferred to the electronic's technician branch. As an LT I worked mostly on radar equipment, so I knew a lot of RP's. I served on the Huron, Crescent, Haida, Athabaskan, Bonnie and last on the Ottawa when it was manned by a mostly French Canadian crew. I am going to come back to this site again. All the best. Found a bunch of slides from the Great Lake Cruise and added them, funny that the Haida now sits pretty much where she was in the picture that I took. I have also added a bunch from the Cape Scott Easter Island Cruise if anyone is interested or was there to tell about it. Great job on the model, glad to see that you have it on display at the Legion, these things have to be passed on. Keep up the good work. Sunday, June 26th 2005 - 10:54:51 PM
